UPCOMING EVENT:

Dublin BIC – Alumnus ‘4th Thursdays’ event

Dear Friends and Colleagues and Alumnus attendees,

The next get-together at the Pavilion Bar in Trinity College is set for next Thursday, 24th May at 6.30pm.

This follows on the back of the first Alumnus meet which had over 100 people circulating in the friendly and informal atmosphere and sharing experiences over a pint or a cup of tea. Mark Little, CEO, Storyful.com told us of his experiences on the start-up trail and the vagaries of initial set-up and fundraising for a new media enterprise. Thanks Mark for a highly informative run-through that triggered many conversations around the requirement for a sellable vision, a resolve to progress at every stage and the importance of getting a coherent company culture established.

For the forthcoming Alumnus May meet, we are delighted to have Ciaran Crean, CEO and founder of MicksGarage.com, the leading online retailer of car spare parts in Ireland & UK to tell us, at first-hand, his experiences since starting-up in 2004. We look forward to hearing Ciaran's story.

Once again, all are welcome to attend - the Dublin BIC Alumnus is an informal get-together for start-up companies old and new to share stories in a good and lively atmosphere. The perfect close to a business day, as the soft evening sunlight falls on the terraces of the 'Pav' and down onto the cricket pitches below.

I hope to see you on 24th .
