Business Week Young European entrepreneur of the Year In mid-2007 StatCounter had 1.5 million members and over 50,000 new sign-ups each month. Having outgrown its then-current office, the business needed more people and more space to expand. The company needed to get set up fast and didn’t have any time to waste. “We investigated our options but some office space proved prohibitively expensive while in other cases landlords were looking for long-term leases to be signed -StatCounter’s growth meant we didn’t want to get locked in. We couldn’t risk committing long term to a property that we could rapidly outgrow. We weren’t sure what to do. At this point we made contact with Dublin BIC and all our problems were solved within days. Dublin BIC directed us to the Guinness Enterprise Centre (GEC). Dolores Dempsey was unfailingly helpful and offered us office space at a great rate with just a monthly commitment and also the option to acquire more space to expand as we grow. All of this combined with friendly, efficient and pro-active staff - we couldn’t ask for more!”
