About the Fund

• Dublin BIC is a General Partner of the €53 million AIB Seed Capital Fund.
• The AIB Seed Capital Fund, launched July 2007, invests in start-up and early stage Irish companies or enterprises with high growth potential.
• Dublin BIC select, negotiate and manage all first round investments of up to €250,000 by the Fund in start-up and early stage companies based in the city or county of Dublin.
• The Fund, under Dublin BIC management, may also participate in investment rounds of up to €1m+ with co-investors where a first round investment amount of up to €250,000 is sought from the Fund.
• The Fund has the capacity to make follow-on investments in later rounds, under Dublin BIC management, to support a company's development and expansion.
• The maximum aggregate amount which may be invested by the Fund in any one company is €1.5 million.

The Fund will support entrepreneurs developing technology-led companies operating in the Information & Communications Technology, Financial Services and other sectors at the seed or early stage.

• Highly innovative management teams with expertise and deep market knowledge coupled with the commitment and the capability to execute
• Products and Technology that have strong market growth and profitability potential

Supported by:

• A strong vision for growth
• A quality business plan with convincing business and revenue models with early revenue capability
• An acceptable level of risk
• Good capital growth and ROI prospects
• An exit potential to realise investments within five years

Note: Business Plans should be of a reasonable length including appendices. Please specifically identify product and commercial milestones the plan expects to deliver particularly over next 18 months from date of investment.
